SAFE® COURSES
Become an instructor
Becoming a river rescue instructor is an important step, both for your personal learning and for the training and safety of your students.
As a student, your main focus is on learning: you acquire fundamental techniques, learn to read water, use equipment correctly and move safely in a dynamic environment such as a river or flood. The focus is on yourself, your preparedness and your ability to collaborate with the team in emergency situations.
When you become an instructor, the level of responsibility changes dramatically: everything you have learnt must be taught, explained, corrected and transmitted effectively. It means having a broader view of training, where skills are not limited to the technical aspect, but also include leadership, effective communication, risk management and evaluation skills.
The student learns and puts into practice, while the instructor trains, guides and inspires. He becomes a reference point
