I river rescue courses dedicated to the Emergency Services offer advanced training for rescue professionals working in high-risk environments, such as floods.
They are designed for Fire brigade, military, Civil Defence, military personnel, health and other emergency organisations.
Combining skills - River rescue has evolved greatly and this has been thanks to inter-agency collaboration and cooperation with outdoor professionals such as rafting, canyoning and caving guides.
It often happens during these courses to work with firefighters, police, military, civil defence and rafting guides and other outdoor professionals.
This mixture of skills gives truly significant added value

CERTIFICATION Rescue3™ - Water and Flood First Responder
(SFR)
It is a essential theoretical/practical course to all those who work in the vicinity of watercoursessuch as hydroelectric power stations, dams, river construction sites, and measuring bodies. The fundamentals of self-rescue and first aid in river rescueThey explain the characteristics of 'living water', the hazards of the river, the risks during a flood and what to do if you and your colleagues accidentally fall into the water.
The course follows a standard basic programmebut is adapted according to the environment in which the user has to operate.
2 days.
Classroom theory and practice.
As there will be practical tests in live water, good swimming skills and physical fitness are required.
Operators of river construction sites, hydroelectric power plants, technicians carrying out measurements, surveys, surveys of surface water bodies, civil protection teams supporting rescue workers, citizens and communities living in flood-prone areas.
As the standard is constantly evolving, the First Responder certification is valid for 3 years. For retention it is necessary to repeat the entire course or to enter a higher course. (e.g. SRT, WRT).
Note:
The certified student is NOT a rescuer, but can work as an assistant at the rescue scene.

CERTIFICATION Rescue3™ - Swiftwater and Flood Rescue Technician
(SRT)
Course for river rescue technicians. The characteristics of 'living water', the dangers of the river, the risks of a flood and the techniques to be adopted in a river/flood rescue operation are explained. Theory is followed by intensive practice with specific exercises and scenarios. It is not necessary to be First Responder certified, but good swimming skills are required.
4 days.
Classroom theory, practice and scenarios.
Good physical condition and swimming skills.
Volunteers and Rescue Professionals (Fire Brigade, Military, Civil Defence, AIB, Red Cross, Dog Units, Mountain Guides, other rescue organisations and groups...).
As the standard is constantly evolving, the SRT certification is valid for 3 years. For maintenance, the entire course must be repeated.

CERTIFICATION Rescue3™ - Swiftwater and Flood Rescue Technician - Advanced - Water (SRTA W)
It is aSRT course extension. All techniques acquired in the SRT are implemented in advanced high-risk scenarios. Rope systems are explored in depth, a number of vertical rescue manoeuvres and work with the night Search and Rescue (SAR) techniques. Possession of SRT certification is mandatory.
4 days.
Classroom theory, practice and advanced scenarios.
SRT(*) certification, excellent physical condition and swimming skills.
Rescue professionals (Fire Brigade, Military, Civil Defence, Red Cross, other rescue organisations and groups...) Professionals in river disciplines and activities (Rafting Guides, Canyoning, Caving...).
As the standard is constantly evolving, the SRT certification is valid for 3 years. For maintenance, the entire course must be repeated.
Note:
(*) In order to access this course, it is necessary that all the techniques covered in SRT have been assimilated in theory and practical use. If there are still gaps or doubts regarding SRT, especially with regard to rope work, we strongly recommend taking the entire course again, as many do.
We guarantee that it will not be a repetition and you will discover many more themes that you had previously missed... and that goes for those who think they have it all figured out!

BECOME INSTRUCTOR - For emergency services
Being technically prepared is only the first pre-requisite for becoming an instructor.
We will study in depth the standard Rescue 3 Europehow to teach the techniques in theory and in practice, which exercises are best to learn the techniques and how to create scenarios that reproduce reality, but in total safety. It is a really interesting course.
Do you want to become a Rescue 3 Europe instructor for emergency services? To enter the instructor course the minimum prerequisite is to have attended at least
- 1 SRT course
- 1 SRT Advanced course

Every 2 years, to maintain instructor status, Rescue 3 Europe requires the following steps:
- Participation in 1 practical update
- Follow 1 online update
- Teaching at least 1 course
