River rescue with Raft for divers in Treviglio (BG)

An organisation that grew out of the passion and will of a group of divers more than 20 years ago. Under the wise and tireless leadership of Giacomo Passera, and thanks to the constant commitment of the volunteers, the group has grown to such an extent that it is now able to guarantee 24-hour on-call shifts, becoming a fundamental reference point for river and lake rescues throughout the Bergamo area.

They started with their first River Rescue course, obtaining the Rescue 3 SRT Patent, in 2005. Since then, their river rescue training has continued with training and refresher courses every two years.

This year they are embarking on a new path: specialisation in river and flood rescue with non-motorised inflatable boats (rafts). The Rescue 3 SPBH patent.

Two days of very intense work in the waters of the Brembo simulating rescues in flooded environments, evacuation of flooded houses, rescues at artificial jumps and much more.

Rescue 3 was the first river rescue standard born in the 1980s, in California.

Today, Rescue 3 Europe has modified the US SRT standard, following European regulations and is recognised in 22 countries as the official river rescue standard for fire brigades, civil defence and the military.
